The Elephant belonging to the Udupi Sri Krishna Temple was brought to an open ground in Manipal and was secured to the ground with chains. It was also surrounded by a human chain made by the spectators. As soon as Shankar junior made a symbolic miniature sandal wood elephant disappear, the live elephant  was also vanished.
