A unique Blind Fold Drive performed by the Shankar, involved the use of surgical plaster bandages pasted on the eyes. Traditional use of cloth covers were not used. Shankar made many successful drives Blind Folded including the longest one from Mangaluru to Karwar ( approx 267 kms) .
